The MOAH Electric Origin Story
MOAH Electric Inc. was born from a Father & Son team that sought to form an organization to continue the tradition of Lankford's in the electrical industry. My Grandfather, Wesley Lankford, operated Lankford & Sons Electric in the Dallas area from the '70s, and my Father Bobby Lankford carried on that tradition with Lankford Electric throughout my childhood. In 1999 with a new century approaching a new incarnation of that tradition was brought into being with MOAH Electric Inc.

MOAH is a Native American term for Wolf Clan discovered in a Native American dictionary during a Pow-Wow. Prior to starting MOAH Electric Inc., my Father operated Two Birds Trading Post as a side venture that sold and traded various Native artifacts, art, and jewelry at State Fairs, Pow-Wows, and trade shows. I was fortunate enough to be on this trip, and as our plan was in place to begin MOAH Electric Inc., a bit of research found what we believe to be the perfect name to operate with.

We began as a family group, and still make our decisions by what is best for the Clan over the moment or the money. MOAH Electric Inc., has grown to include tradesmen that are as diverse as our country and made up of all races & creeds. We have employed fathers and their sons, along with brothers, cousins, uncles, and nephews all to support our craft. We protect each other by working safely and by working for all our futures. MOAH is a term that is as powerful as it is unique, and we work every day to honor the name, its history and the Native people whose traditions still guide us today.
